College Library and Committees Information


  • The college has a well-equipped library with a collection of more than 1000+ books. The Library and Reading Halls remain open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The library holds important periodicals like All India Reporter, Indian Bar Review, All Maharashtra Law Reporter, Bombay Cases Reporter, Supreme Court Cases, Law Teller, etc. It also has legal databases like AIR Infotech and DigiLaw for judgment search.


    The Library Committee oversees the smooth conduct of library management, including budgeting and book purchases. A 'Best Reader Award' is given to students to promote excellence in reading.


    Rules:

    • Entry is restricted to Identity Card Holders Only.

    • Students can issue one book on a Borrower Card for seven days.

    • Silence must be observed by users in the library.

    • Bags/Handbags must be kept at the Baggage Counter.

    • Use of mobile phones is strictly prohibited in the library.

    • Books will be issued subject to availability.

    • Late fine: Rs. 2/- per day, and after 1 month, Rs. 5/- per day.

    • Reference books, newspapers, journals/magazines should not be taken out of the library.

    • In case of a lost book, students need to arrange the same copy (edition) of the book or pay double the book price.


    Services:

    1. 1. Reading Room: The library has a seating capacity of 30.

    2. 2. Lending Service: Issue/Return of Books.

    3. 3. Book Bank Service: Set of books are given free of cost for an entire semester to SC/ST/NT/DT students. Open category students have to pay 30% of the total price of the set of books.

    4. 4. Newspaper Clipping Service: Library maintains and displays newspaper clippings related to the legal domain or college news.

    5. 5. E-Library Zone: Library has 10 PCs with working internet connection and preinstalled DigiLaw & AIR software.

    6. 6. Current Awareness Service: The library provides alert services via email or instant messaging app regarding new arrivals of books/periodicals or latest news related to law.

    7. 7. Reference Service: Library provides reference service to users by suggesting well-known authors/titles on particular topics.
